What is it ?
Lovelivemusic.fr
is a website created in 2015 by 4 French entrepreneurs located in Lyon. The
main purpose of this start-up is to help concert-goers to find the best
concerts they will enjoy, and to create memories they won’t forget. The service
is based on a community of users who share their opinion on the concerts and
festivals that they have seen. Visitors comment on their concert experience
thanks to the tailor-made recommendation system, to express their feelings and
to recommend -or not- an artist. More than that, users can ;
- Discover new artist thanks to other users’ opinions and personalized recommendations
- Remember
goods moments by commenting the concerts they attended
- Increase the
visibility and the fame of emerging artists
Today,
hundreds of concerts are programed in hundreds of concert venues. When someone
wants to go to a concert, or to offer concert tickets to a friend, they have a
lot of choices and it is sometimes difficult to choose the right concert not to
be disappointed. Lovelivemusic prevents that by helping people to decide what
concert can be interesting and not be missed. Moreover, the website is directly
linked to the Digitick webpage, which means that people can buy their concert
tickets directly on LoveLiveMusic, at the same price.
Where does the idea
comes from ?
LoveLiveMusic
was born in June 2015, when two of the website's founders went to the Musilac music
festival in Aix-Les-Bains. Initially, they went to the Musilac festival to see
artists that they already knew. But, while waiting for a specific artist, they
started listening to another unknown one and they fell under the spell of this
complete stranger. From that moment, they decided to never miss out on
wonderful revelations like this and to create the first artist recommendation
website.
What is the company’s vision of the music industry ?
LoveLiveMusic
tries to adapt to the current trends in the music industry. Because of the
shift from CDs to streaming, artists get less and less revenues from recorded
music. Live music is thus becoming more and more important for artists to get
more revenues and more visibility for their songs. Nowadays the music market is a growing sector
which is composed by a lot of different players. The problem is that the
emerging artists have some difficulties becoming more visible, even
if they are talented. From 30 to 40% of concert tickets go unsold while big and
famous artists sell their tickets in one hour at an expensive price. 6% of the
shows get 62% of the ticket revenues. LoveLiveMusic wishes to discover and help
to develop the career of new talents by advertising and promoting them. Thus,
they try to support developing artists.
How can you
participate ?
Given that
the website is very recent, the LoveLiveMusic founders have created a “beta”
version of the website. It means that people can test the webpage, give their
opinions, and then share comments to the founders on how efficient and
customer-friendly the LoveLiveMusic website is. This concept creates a real
community of Live Music Lovers allowing users to share their opinions with each
other. So, it is very important for the 4 founders to be evaluated by visitors
themselves, who will be the first users of the website.
Who are they targeting ?
LoveLiveMusic
first targets concerts goers of all ages, gender or occupational categories.
However, the start-up also targets professionals. First, LoveLiveMusic
addresses its concept to the artists who could be interested in what people
have thought about their concert. With the recommendations given by the
visitors, they can adapt their live show and get feedback. Moreover,
LoveLiveMusic offers the possibility to bookers to detect the artist who is a
gem among thousands of others, thanks to the assessment given by people.
Finally, the start-up allows the promoters to better know what artist bring the
most people. So, they will be able to adapt to the visitors’ expectations.
How to evaluate a
concert?
The LoveLiveMusic
assessment is based on 3 criteria:
- the artist
- the staging of the show and the sound
- the audience and the atmosphere
Thus,
you assign to these 3 criteria a grade which will make a global average. Then,
a dedicated section allows the visitor to write freely his opinion in a purely
subjective way. You can then consult all the opinions provided on the different
artists and tell the website how small you knew the artist before the show,
which will be useful once the website starts sending recommendations to users
based on their tastes. You are also able to leave a comment on the show.
So, share your opinion with the community and find the best concerts !

Hi Cindy and thank you for your interest.
ReplyDeleteIf you are a concert lover, LoveLiveMusic seems to be made for you. Don't hesitate to join the community !
To answer your question, I have already found a concert on LoveLiveMusic (la Femme at Grenoble) and give my opinion on another one (Ratatat at Lyon). It was really nice to share these emotions.
Hi Mathilde,
ReplyDeleteThis website is amazing ! I love music and concerts so I will not hesitate and use it as much as I can. It is really interesting to create a community around people who have the same passion. Although, I was wondering if you have already been disappointed by a singer or a band performance and how can we judge a performance as we all don't have the same opinion and the same taste for music ?
