innovation Zoe.

were waiting for it for 2 years, and it´s now available on internet.
It´s the 4th
electric car of the firm, but with any doubt Zoe will revolutionize the
electric car market.
The only
thing that you need to rent is its battery. It will be charged between a
minimum of 3min, until 9hours. You can charge it at home by plugging it, from 6
to 9 hours, and it will only cost you your electricity consumption; you can go
to an especial charging point, which will charge your battery in
30minutes and finally with going to a « quickdrop » (a 3-minutes
battery exchange) you´ll have a full battery in 3minutes.
Ecological targets
“Zero gas
emission”, the promise made by Renault for its new car. It´s indeed thanks to
its 60kW (80hp) motor. You don´t need fuel, so no gas emission is made. The
nice thing about its motor is that it´s entirely quiet, it can be a little destabilizing
the first time but for sure you´re going to appreciate it very quickly !
Furthermore, by buying it you´ll get a consumer bonus of 7000€/ £5 632.
A
totally exiting looks and relaxing inside
If you´re
looking for a classy car, than Zoe has been made for you. Its silent battery allows
you to drive peacefully through city, without any motor noise. 19-inch wheels
really reassuring and which allow its drivers to make out-of-town journeys
without any problem.
It doesn´t
end there. Its inside provides you an enjoyable ride. Renault has developed a
system in association with Biotherm, the skin biology brand of L'Oréal's Luxury
Products, which provides you 3 relaxing effects such as a Skin Hydratation,
Detox Effect (for a better air quality inside) and a Stimulating or relaxing scent diffuser
(stimulating for a night travel for example, and relaxing for the home-work travel).
Renault
has also made an association with Philips, to equip its car with a light
therapy function, which also stimulates the energy driver and enhances its
wellbeing feeling.
Price and reservation
The price
of Zoe begins from 15 700€/ £12 632, and then you´ll have to rent its
battery for 80€/ £64 per month. 80€ represents fuel for around 600Km..which is
more or less the same as many people do in a month.
Its launch
is scheduled for the end of the year (2012), but you already can make a
reservation online, by going on the Renault website, where you can also find additional
information about Zoe.

Well, I think it is not so expensive. The only thing is that you have to rent the battery for 80€ per month, and I think it has to be taken into account because indirectly it increases the price of the car.
DeleteIt can go until more or less 140Km/h. That´s why you can use it also to go out of town without any problem and drive on the motorway, it´s not like the "no licence" cars ;)

ReplyDeleteIt really is a great idea and a great innovation, that is for sure since it is eco-friendly and, most importantly, that it has an accessible price. However, I have a question, in France, how many public chargers exist? You can drive for 600 km and charge it at home but if you want to go farther, can you find a charger anywhere? I don't think it will become a popular car until chargers are built everywhere.
